    The Course will consist of monthly webinars organized by the SPR Professionalism & Career Development Committee.

    Clinical knowledge and image interpretation skills are necessary but insufficient to be an excellent radiologist. This Course was created to prepare pediatric radiology fellows with non-interpretive skills for the various roles in which radiologists serve referring physicians and their patients: consultant, manager, leader, researcher, educator, and patient advocate. The scope has been expanded to include topics across the experience spectrum, from training to early and late career.

    The July 2024 Slovis Course was an opportunity for the fellows and other trainees to connect.  The session began with an update from representatives of the SPR Career Development & Professionalism Committee, Membership Committee, and Early-Career & Trainee Committee.  There was also representation from the AAP Section on Radiology.  The updates were recorded for those who were unable to attend.  The second part of the session utilized the breakout rooms and was not recorded.

    1. Summarize the most current information on state-of-the-art pediatric imaging and intervention.
    2. Describe new technologies and clinical workflow for pediatric imaging and intervention. 
    3. Identify trends in pediatric radiology research regarding the care and management of pediatric patients. 
    4. Discuss the need of supporting pediatric imaging at a global level and understand the global need and impact of knowledge sharing to improve the care of more children.
    5. Explain the best and most up-to-date practice regarding patient safety and quality.

    Accreditation Statement
    This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Michigan State Medical Society and the Society for Pediatric Radiology. The Michigan State Medical Society is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    The Michigan State Medical Society designates this enduring material activity for a maximum of 27.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    Accredited CME Activity that includes Evaluation of the Learner with Feedback
    This activity includes evaluation of the learner with feedback for American Board of Radiology diplomates not completing their OLA annual progress requirement.

    Instructions to Receive Credit
    In order to successfully complete the activity, participants must view the recorded presentations, and complete the applicable post-test and activity evaluation. You must score 80% or higher in 3 attempts in order to pass the post-tests. Once each component of the activity is complete, participants will be able to claim credit commensurate with their participation in the activity and download the credit certificate.
